Manufacturing Site Remediation
Remediation in Stanhope, NJ
Equity is managing all ongoing site remediation associated with PCE & Benzene impacted groundwater at a Former Dynapac Manufacturing facility that occupies approximately 39 acres of land. Industrial operations have taken place at the Site since the early 1900s. Dynapac assembled and manufactured soil compaction equipment at this facility for more than 20 years and operations ceased at the facility in 1987.
Equity was retained by a confidential client to close out18 Areas of Concern (AOCs) and to assist with the establishment of a groundwater Classification Exemption Area (CEA) as a result of the residual low-level VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) that remain in the groundwater at some locations.
Equity conducted a file review and evaluation of previous remedial investigations, order of magnitude evaluations, the preparation and submittal of Remedial Investigation Report (RIR), Remedial Action Workplan (RAW), Discharge to Groundwater Permit-by-Rule, Public Notification, Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), RE, well searches, CEA and updates, Case Inventory Documents (CID), Health and Safety Plan, NJDEP RAW Checklists and other certifications and submittal forms.
Since the in-situ remediation efforts took place Equity continues to see downward trending within the groundwater for all compounds of concern within in the areas of concern onsite. Concentrations are at a level where the remedial action report and response action outcome can be drafted and certified by the LSRP of record.
