LSRP Services

Equity provides the LSRP who oversees the investigation and remediation of an ISRA Site in Carteret, New Jersey. Our team utilized statistical evaluation of soil sampling data to determine which sampling results were and which were not attributable to historic fill. Equity assisted with the development of the Site Conceptual Model to demonstrate successful delineation of soil and groundwater. We installed impervious cover and, to address volatile organic compounds in soil at concentrations above their respective impact to groundwater standards, a horizontal vent line. We completed a vapor intrusion (VI) investigation and ongoing VI O&M. Equity addressed unanticipated UST and NAPL that were detected during fieldwork and prepared and submitted the RAW.

Currently, spot soil excavation and establishment of low permeability cover is underway.  Equity is also assessing PFAS/PFOA and emerging contaminants.  Electrical resistance heating (ERH) is being planned/designed for one AOC.  Following the soil excavation and ERH, Equity will file a Deed Notice and a RAP application for soil will be submitted.  In addition, groundwater impacts will be addressed through in-situ thermal remediation of source area soils, monitored natural attenuation (MNA), a Classification Exception Area (CEA), and a RAP for groundwater.
